Further Information:

  1. Most classes require a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate credits in the discipline being taught. Exceptions are the 0-level courses.
  2. Base pay is $2,100 for the quarter with pay after incentives averaging about $2,400 per adjunct instructor.

Title: School Counselor

Campus: Sun Valley

Reports to: Executive Vice President

Works Closely with: SV Admissions Counselor, Dean of Students, SV Site Director

Compensation: $16.26 per hour


Position Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit and guide international students in the application for admission process.
  2. Counsel students in the registration process.
  3. Supervise students in work study program.
  4. Keep track of international students' financial accounts.
  5. Coordinate with school staff, students' activities, residence life, etc.
  6. Advise students during the process of transferring to a four-year college.
  7. Serve as a liaison between students, college, and other organizations.
  8. Keep track of academic progress, attendance, and other issues for international students.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Be a strong self-starter who is able to work independently and diligently.
  2. Detail-oriented.
  3. Being multilingual is a plus
  4. Engaging, motivating, and positive with students.
  5. Computer savvy and fluent in Microsoft Office products and email.

Education Requirements: Master's Degree in Education.
